CrossTour 2014 Information:

There were 52 organizations which registered for the B2B and in the end 28 Bulgarian companies, 13 Romanian and 1 Moldovan company joined the brokerage event. Each of them had sent their requests for 153 business meetings beforehand. However, many of the participants took the chance to start informal conversations among each other and thus make additional useful contacts. Having had many successful business meetings with foreign partners during the brokerage event, participants praised themselves with 11 partnership agreements which were achieved during the B2B. The companies stated they have found opportunities for cooperation in more than 50 of their international meetings.

A tailor-made FAM trip was arranged for the foreign tour operators on the next day. This enabled them to experience the destination for themselves and re-discover its huge alternative tourism appeal. The foreign tour operators visited the Monastery of Basarbovo, the Ivanovo rock-hewn churches (part of UNESCO World Heritage List), the cave Orlova Chuka near Dve Mogili (the second longest one of Bulgaria), the Medieval Fortress of Cherven. The representatives of foreign tour operators also listened to authentic Bulgarian folklore; they tasted traditional Bulgarian home-made meals and tasted wines produced within the region of Ruse during a wine-tasting in a local winery.

Here are some comments on the b2b event by participants:

Olga Rece / Advise Ltd:

"I take this opportunity to thank you for the impressive organization of the B2B event in Ruse. We appreciated very much the support we received and particularly the opportunity to meet interesting people and companies which are business opportunities to us. The event was excellently organized and the afterwards trip has been a pleasant confirmation of the touristic offer of the Ruse Region, while also becoming acquainted with other people sharing our love for Bulgarian beauty and traditions."

Claire Coulter / Wild Thyme Organic Farm & Eco-Retreat:

"Thank you so much for a wonderful day. It was very well organised and productive. We met great people who we are looking forward to working with. The location was also perfect as was the lunch. Thank you so much for your support on the day. Whenever we needed any assistance, you or one of your co-workers seemed to appear like magic! We look forward to seeing you again next year."

Cristina Zavada / Touropa:

"Following the event in Ruse, I would like to thank you also for the participation; we have established new business relations, meet new ideas & people which I hope will bring new opportunities to our activity."
